Monograph of the
Salticidae (Araneae) of the World
Acknowledgements for the 2007 edition

The present work is a continuation of the previous electronic publication "Salticidae (Araneae) of the World" which was appearing in years 1995-2006 in the Internet, gradually developed and updated, and was published on CD disk in 2003.

Parts II and III of the present work is essentially updated and enlarged 2003 edition, with references including papers published in 2007, much more species, drawings and photographs, as well as new parts like pictorial indexes Salticidae of various continents, and other features. For the users convenience sake these parts are linked to Part I - a "Global Species Database of Salticidae (Araneae)" offering a namber of facilities of a relational database, and permitting much faster serarching of genera and species.

The Persons and Institutions which made possible development of the present work are listed in the Acknowledgement to the 2003 edition.

Preparation of updated Parts II and III was possible owing to grant No. 2 P04C 101 26 from the Polish Committee of Scientific Research (KBN) and owing to kind attitude and facilities provided by the Muzeum i Instytut Zoologii of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. The usage of drawings was possible owing to kind permission of individual Authors and Publishers of the Scientific Periodicals, listed in Acknowledgement to the 2003 edition.

Part I  was developed on the basis of already existing Parts II and III as an EuroCat/Species 2000 Project 
EVRI CT 2002 20011, all parts interrelated and developed parallel, using facilities provided by the Muzeum i 
Instytut Zoologii of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
