This chapter contains following genera : type genus: Hispo.
Hermotimus Hispo Jerzego Massagris "Massagris" schisma Tomobella Tomocyrba, Tomomingi .

Introduction

HISPONINES. Poorly known group of genera delimited by shallow constriction of eye field, leaving eyes Anterior Lateral and Posterior Median on the same protuberance, in addition the latter are strikingly smaller, which resembles some fossil genera (Prolinus). However, variability of character states make difficult construction of a Key for Identification. Of the other hand apparent location of embolus on membranous haematodocha suggests relationships to EUOPHRYINES. Pending further research, status of HISPONINES remains hypothetical.
Drawings below are integral part of definition.

Gen. Hermotimus Simon, 1903 (1 species)

Type species Hermotimus coriaceus

REMARKS. Relationships of this genus are inconclusive. Placing it in the HISPONINAE I wish to call attention to similarity of embolus to Tomocyrba barbata, as shown on photograph presented by Szüts, Scharff 2009 (below). This is tempting hypothesis, but requires confirmation by more precise study. Of the other hand shape of embolus resembles S American Leptofreya - no comments yet.

Gen.Tomobella Szüts & Scharff, 2009 (2 species)

Type species Tomobella fotsy.
REMARKS. Considered related to fossil Gorgopsina because of location of minute eyes II on mutual protuberance with eyes I lateral, and separated from eyes III by prominent depression, placed recently by Maddison 2015 in subfamily Hisponinae. Male palp with coiled embolus located on membranous basis, internal structure of epigyne known does not resemble Hispo. Diagnostic drawings below are integral part of definition.

Gen. Tomocyrba Simon, 1900 (6 species)
