Gen. Jotus Koch L., 1881 (? species)

Type species Jotus auripes ? .
REMARK. Genera Jotus, Hypoblemum, Lycidas, Maratus, Saitis and probably some related, require taxonomic revision of ALL species. Their definitions are unclear and incomplete, due to fragmentary knowledge of their morphology and biology. The practice of wholesale transfer of large number of species, following their incidentally designated type species, creates chaos. These genera are closely related, which is demonstrated by structure of their palps and spermathecae. Newly described Jotus remus differs strikingly by "paddle" shaped bunch of setae on tarsus and metatarsus III and by abdominal pattern.

J., 24(4): 355-357, f 33-39. By courtesy.
Something very wrong: female identified by Logunov, Jaeger 2015 is apparently Lechia, but there are no reason to transfer it to Laufeia, (epigyne is different, its internal structure was not studied by any researcher to preserve type speciemen, the only female specimen known!), there are no premises to match it with male, which differs from Laufeia aenea by significant details of palp. J. Prószyński.
Dr. D.V. Logunov offered following comments about genus Lechia (personal letter,2015-12-20): "Lechia minuta is not a published combination and it is presented in your database without any justification or explanation to be referrred to as your personal opinion. I reckon this is one of the reasons why the WSC does not refer to it. For the time being, this taxon is better to retain as Euophrys minuta (the original combination), until the male is found and decribed."

Gen. Lycidas Karsch, 1878 (20 species)

Type species Lycidas - vacant -after transfer of the original type species L. anomalus to Maratus.
REMARKS. The species below are left provisionally in Lycidas, until taxonomic revision (this is NEW! procedure outside Nomenclatorical Codex, but apparently reasonable one, limiting repeated transfers of whole lists of nominal species).
REMARKS 2. These genera are closely related, which is demonstrated by structure of their palps and spermathecae, their behavioral mark is signaling during courtship (and other encounters) by lifting third pair of legs and abdomen,. Following brilliant observations by J. Otto genus Maratus enrich display by spreading lateral flaps of abdomen ("wings"), however Lycidas anomalus, type species of genus Lycidas has not such flaps - so its reclassification to Maratus is disputable - but it forces transfers of large number of Lycidas species, about whose behavior we know nothing.
DIAGNOSIS. Absence of white third tarsus of legs in males (proposed provisional difference with Maratus and related genera).

Gen. Nebridia Simon, 1902 (3 species)
REMARK. Wholesale merging of genera Nebridia and Amphidraus, proposed by Zhang & Maddison 2015: 22-23
without taxonomic revision, is not acceptable because of insufficient diagnostic documentation available and
unresolved diversity of part of species.

Type species Nebridia semicana .

Gen. Neon Simon, 1876 (20 species)

Type species Neon reticulatus.
REMARK. Internal structure of epigyne with spermathecae divided into two spherical chambers and with relatively short and thin ducts, as in type species and similar species, resembles EUOPHRYINES. So is coiled embolus, presumably atop membranous haematodocha. Of the other hand there is considerable diversity among known 20 species of this genus, the loop of spermophor does not resemble typical meander. Phylogentical relationships are therefore uncertain, but identification of the genus is easiest if morphologically placed among EUOPHRYINES. Diagnostic drawings below are integral part of definition.
